Don’t lose Hope! Names are only reserved for a short time after release of GW2 and not all name that are reserved will be used, so a name you might want might open up after release. When the reserve list was made for GW2 it took all names from accounts that were used in the last year form GW1.
I have a pretty simple solution for you (as you have to choose one of the names, regardless if you like it or not): Create a list of possible names (brainstorming can happen at this point too, not at the last one) Order the names on the list from most favoured to least favoured. Try each name according to this order.
The name Kryta is used to refer to both the geological location and the last human kingdom in Tyria, which once spanned the entire geographical region until about roughly 1219 AE. The kingdom is ruled by Queen Jennah, one of the last two known surviving descendants of King Doric, from the grand city of Divinity's Reach.

In Guild Wars, the period of “suspension” for a name — that is, the time it’s bound to your account and cannot be used by anyone else — is about 24 hours. UPDATE: Confirmed with our Excellent Server Team Leader: We will have the same system in Guild Wars 2. There is a 24-hour “cool down” period before a deleted character’s name
After all, ArenaNet's Mike O'Brien said of the game: "If you love MMOs, you'll want to check out Guild Wars 2, and if you hate MMOs, you'll really want to check out Guild Wars 2." Don't knock it
