Hi, I played the first dishonored a few times on Xbox, and also finished dishonored 2. It’s on sale on pc and I’m wondering if it’s worth buying for an FPS upgrade.
I played Dishonored 1 on PC and haven't played Dishonored 2 yet, but, in my experience, it takes some time (not much) to get familiarized with it. I recommend you keep playing the second or play the first one before the second so you get used to it. I'm going for a second run on the first before playing the second.
It doesn't need v-sync, it just doesn't like variable framerates. The menu even says this, it advises you to lock your framerate lower to avoid stutter. If you average just above 60, lock it to 60. If you average above 90 all the time, lock it to 90, etc. Adaptive sync is really popular now for good reason (killing v-sync input lag) but a

About 55-60 on average with the worst drop in Crack in the Slab down to about 46. Unfortunately the nature of this engine means that you won't be able to avoid fps drops. The confirmed areas are in Edge of the World, Clockwork Mansion and a Crack in the Slab which even brings a 1070 down to the mid 40s due to the nature of the level. it’s way too short only about 5-7 hours. It makes sense since it was originally meant to be DLC for Dishonored 2 but still. the levels are far too restrictive and linear compare to the open levels of the other two Dishonored games even Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore witches had more open level then this and those were DLCs for the first . 105 113 211 190 19 260 140 308 363
