Trader Nov 22, 2022 @ 6:13am. Just to add, I played through to level 80 as F2P and it there were only a few things that felt restricting: 2 character slots. I'd advice leveling in 1 slot and saving the other to try/play around with as you level, but don't do anything permanent with it until you reach level 80 on the other slot.

Starting in Guild Wars 2 is very shiny, colorful and interesting, but if you are into progression you might be turned down. It is in many ways more moba-ish than mmorpg as progression towards gear is more for the looks than stats which i did not mind and unlocking stuff was fun anyhow.
